FUJIFILM Corporation, invest to set up semiconductor materials plant in Dholera
Strategic MoU signed to support semiconductor materials ecosystem development around Tata Electronics’ Fab in Dholera, Gujarat
Collaboration will focus on enhancing supply chain resilience through localization of critical raw materials and supporting Indian chemical manufacturers
Mumbai, 17 Sep 2026: Tata Electronics, a pioneering leader in India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing sector and FUJI FILM Corporation, a global semiconductor materials company have entered into a MoU to accelerate semiconductor materials ecosystem development in India. By virtue of this partnership, Fujifilm will leverage its global expertise to develop and supply advanced semiconductor materials tailored to the needs of the Tata Electronics’ upcoming semiconductor Fab in Dholera, Gujarat. The cooperation is in line with India’s vision to emerge as a leading player in the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain.
As part of the partnership, Fujifilm will be one of the first movers in building the semiconductor materials ecosystem in Dholera, Gujarat. Fujifilm and Tata Electronics will work collaboratively to enhance supply chain resilience, by localizing the development of critical raw materials needed for semiconductor fabrication. The partnership will facilitate Indian chemical manufacturers with technology, quality assurance and manufacturing process knowhow to manufacture high-purity chemicals.
In addition, Fujifilm will also strategically invest approximately INR 800 Crores to set up a semiconductor materials plant in Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) in phases, to ensure seamless availability and movement of materials for India’s first commercial Fab being set up by Tata Electronics.
