Establishment of India’s First Commercial Fab: Tata Electronics and ASML have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build and ramp up Tata Electronics upcoming 300 mm semiconductor Fab in Dholera, Gujarat.
Advanced Technology Deployment, ASML will provide its holistic suite of advanced lithography tools and solutions, which are critical for chip manufacturing. This will ensure seamless operations and high-quality production at the Dholera facility.
Skill and Talent Development, The partnership focuses heavily on training local talent and developing lithography-intensive skills to build a strong domestic workforce capable of supporting India’s growing semiconductor industry.
Supply Chain and R&D, The companies will collaborate to create a resilient and proactive supply chain and develop essential R&D infrastructure to ensure the long-term success of the Fab.
Investment Details, The Dholera Fab involves a total planned investment of US$ 11 Billion. It aims to manufacture semiconductors for various applications, including automotive, mobile devices, and artificial intelligence.
Tata Electronics is also collaborating with other global players like PSMC, Taiwan to gain access to broad technology portfolios 28nm to 110nm.
