Mr Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu Former Ambassador of Japan to India visited Dholera Smart City
NICDC, DICDL and JBIC facilitated the visit of a high-level Japanese delegation to Dholear Smart City on 23 March 2026, led by Mr H.E. Kenji Hiramatsu, Former Ambassador of Japan to India (2015–2019) and currently Chairman, Institute for International Strategy, The Japan Research Institute Ltd
The delegation visited the ABCD Building, Experience Zone, City IOC Centre and key infrastructure in the Activation Area, offering a firsthand view of Dholera’s smart governance systems, integrated planning, and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
The visit was further strengthened by the presence of Mr. Hiroyuki Mesaki, Country Head, SMBC India, reflecting the growing interest of leading Japanese institutions in India’s next-generation industrial and infrastructure landscape.
This engagement underscores the deepening India–Japan partnership and reinforces Dholera’s emergence as a future-ready destination for global investment.
